What a night! Darke & Taylor was not only shortlisted for two awards at The 2014 Electrical Industry Awards on 23rd October, but managed to finish the evening as the winner in both categories.
Darke & Taylor apprentices Tom Webb and Phoebe Stockford were finalists in the Electrical Apprentice of the Year category, with the judges announcing that Phoebe had been highly commended and Tom was the overall winner. Well done to both, highly deserved and a really good opportunity to showcase, through two talented individuals, the importance to Darke & Taylor of its apprenticeship scheme.
Shortly after, the evening got even better when the judges announced that Darke & Taylor, from a shortlist of 6 excellent companies, had won Contractor of the Year. This category was open to all contracting companies operating in the UK and the judges were looking for both creative solutions to technical, commercial and managerial challenges and the ability to demonstrate a commitment to training and development of staff.
