Darke & Taylor is still open for business and providing essential services to a number of our clients during this unprecedented time.
All of our work is being carried out in accordance with the Construction Leadership Council Safe Site Operating Procedures (SOP) which is based on Public Health England (PHE) guidance. The basic principle is that as a business we are doing our best to interpret and follow government guidance. This is a constantly changing situation and the Company Directors hold a virutal meeting every evening after the government’s 5pm Daily Briefing to ensure that we are doing our best to comply with any additional requirements or changes to existing advice.
All office based staff who are capable of working from home are currently doing so and due to the reduction in current workload caused by the coronavirus pandemic, we have a number of staff who are currently on furlough leave.
Whilst we are experiencing some disruption as a result of the measures we have had to implement, we are confident that we can continue to provide the necessary levels of service including emergency call out cover to all customers and clients who have a requirement. Our reception is still operating remotely, and all e-mail systems and mobile phone numbers are fully operational for staff that are not on furlough, with arrangements to forward messages if necessary.
Our priority as an employer is to do our best to protect the long-term prospects of our directly employed workforce in order that they can continue to deliver an excellent service to our clients when we return to full capacity as a business.
Thanks to all of our staff, suppliers, sub-contractors and clients for their efforts and patience during this difficult time, we look forward to things returning to normality when government guidelines allow.
