Darke & Taylor has recently passed its NACOSS Gold Audit following an inspection by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI), the leading certification body for the security and fire protection sectors in the UK.
The certification gives further reassurance to Darke & Taylor’s customers that they are reputable, trusted and meet all relevant industry standards, with a robust Quality Management System (QMS) that is fit for purpose.
The NSI Auditor report included the following comments: “It was clear that the company has implemented a QMS that meets the requirements of ISO9001:2015. It was also identified that the top management of the company are the driving force behind the QMS. Several hours were spent with the MD discussing how he and the Quality Manager had ingrained ISO9001 into the business and how he ensures it is the ethos behind the workings of the company. The company have ISO certification from another certification body and used that as the basis for designing one for the Security and Fire business that met the requirements of SSQS101 and FSQS121. In short, the quality management system for the company is perhaps one of the best lead management systems I have seen from a new applicant.”
For many of its 60 years in business, Darke & Taylor has been engaged in the installation and maintenance of life safety and security systems as an integral part of the electrical systems it engineers. It was, therefore, a natural progression to form Darke & Taylor Fire & Security four years ago and to become NSI Approved, BAFE Registered and an FSA Member in order to formalise its expertise and to enable it to operate as an industry specialist in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of the critical systems that protect people and property.
