The Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards were held on 4th April at Jurys Inn, Oxford and saw over 130 people come together to celebrate the success of apprenticeships in the county.
This year Darke & Taylor was heavily involved with the Awards from the outset, with Managing Director, Simon Newton, and Compliance & Operations Manager, Tanya Webb, sitting on the Awards committee and being actively involved in the planning and delivery of the event. Simon was also the host of the evening, where guests were wined and dined as the Awards were announced.
In addition, Darke & Taylor sponsored the Intermediate Apprenticeship Award, which was open to apprentices living or working in Oxfordshire who had completed a minimum of 12 months of their current Level 2 Apprenticeship or had completed a full Level 2 Apprenticeship within the 12 month period leading up to and including 1st December 2018. Apprentices from a range of organisations entered the category, and three outstanding individuals from the University of Oxford, Oxfordshire County Council and Blenheim were named as finalists.
Tanya Webb commented: “All three finalists demonstrated exceptional dedication, hard work and accomplishments and we were blown away by the quality, knowledge and skills of them all. It was incredibly difficult to select just one winner, but we were delighted to present the Intermediate Apprenticeship Award to Josephine Allen, Business Admin Apprentice at the Oxford Learning Institute, University of Oxford.”
