Due to growth in our Renewables Department, we currently have an excellent career opportunity for a talented Electrical Engineer to join us.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead PV Engineer to join our growing renewable energy team.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a fully qualified electrician with strong solar PV experience, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to lead installation teams on commercial and domestic projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage solar PV installation teams on-site
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of PV systems
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
  • Support project planning and problem solving on-site
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and suppliers
  • Maintain compliance with electrical and industry regulations
  • Carry out annual PV/EESS services and maintenance

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition qualified
  • Experience in solar PV installations
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities
  • ECS/CSCS card
  • Full UK driving license
  • Working at heights

DESIRABLE:

  • SolarEdge Installer experience
  • SSSTS
  • Testing & Inspection qualifications
  • Battery storage installation experience
  • EV charger installation experience
  • IPAF
  • Pasma
  • Tele handler license
